Where the Shuswap meets the Okanagan
2016 Arts Festival Description
Saturday July 23
9am to 4pm
Sunday July 24
Lions Gazebo, Riverside Park, Enderby
The Enderby and District Arts Council presents a free family friendly street festival of markets, music and art. This is the seventh annual Festival and it has grown to attract over 2000 visitors.
Take in the sights, sounds and wares of the outdoor Artisan Market where over 50 vendors will offer a wide variety of handcrafted items for sale. In the centre of everything is the Grant Russell Stage with all day music and activities. Acts this year include “Happy Hungry Hippies”, “Shaughnessy Rose”, Hawaiian Dancers, “Marv Manchura” and “The Keys”.
Food is a big part of any festival and no one will go hungry with a Food Court on Cliff Ave, the Lions Pancake Breakfast on Belvedere Street followed by the Legion Burger BBQ, plus Enderby's many fine restaurants.
Returning this year is the Family Fun Zone in Belvidere Park, complete with face painting, bouncy castle, games, clowns, mini goat petting zoo, and a special guest Kiki the Eco Elf.
A new addition to the Festival this year is a quilting display by the Enderby Cliff Quilters. See this display at 617 Cliff Ave, the home of the Enderby and District Arts Council.
Experience the work of a talented group of local artists at the Courtyard Gallery on Belvidere Street.
An important change for the Sunday Music by the River concert is a change in venue from Belvedere Park to the Lions Gazebo in Riverside Park on Kildonan Ave. This rain or shine concert features “Dirt Road Angels.”
